Vienna Residence

When we learned our Client’s mother was a Master Gardner and naturalist, we knew we had a larger audience to impress. We also needed to accommodate two rambunctious boys who had scarce level areas to play in the sloped backyard, while creating spaces that felt mature and refined in their details. We reshaped the backyard to create play areas, dividing them with a retaining wall that serves as a bench seat for a fire pit patio. Native plants hug the bank and sides of the refreshed decks, which we reinforced for a hot tub and added in screening for privacy.
